Get to Know Bianca Bee

Bianca Bee (like a Bumble Bee) has been making a name for herself since she was super young. With her signature purple lips, fun and exciting personality its only right, that she made a household name for herself within the media and entertainment industry. She’s interviewed countless celebrities and socialites, has spoken on a few panels, and once worked for TMZ, Oprah and E! News. Not to mention, Bianca is also an author and a beauty and lifestyle blogger. If you’re ever in need of some makeup inspo or plain ole millennial life advice, she’s also your girl!

I recently got the chance to speak with the host and lifestyle blogger about a variety of different things… with that being said, Grab your glass, pour up and let’s get to know Bianca Bee!

How would you say you got your start in the entertainment industry?
When I was about 13, I started dancing backup for the Bet’s Teens of Comedy Tour. I knew when I was traveling and touring that entertainment was for me. I knew I had to move to LA after high school and that’s exactly what I did. When I moved to LA and began film school, my life began to flourish in the entertainment world

You’ve interviewed more than a handful of celebrities and socialites, who can you say was your favorite & why?
I love interviewing Jussie Smollett from Empire. He is always a blast and filled with so much energy. Also, another person that was a blast to interview was Kel Mitchell from Kenan and Kel. He was very inspiring and extremely humble and gave a lot of insight on the film industry.

What are five things that YOU MUST do to prep before an interview or red carpet event?
  • Coffee is a must early in the day.
  • Preparing my makeup.
  • Making sure my batteries and equipment are charged.
  • Making sure my camera people are on time and sending them a reminder.
  • Making sure I have food in my system.

Right now we’re living in an age where everyone is trying to “rush their come up” or getting easily discouraged and disappointed when things aren’t going their way. What advice do you have for those individuals, especially for those trying to pursue a career in media or entertainment?
This is a really great question. I was someone who suffered through this emotion and also depression. The best advice I can give is to stop comparing yourself to others. I wrote this is my first book The 20’s Chronicles. Please take your time and be patient because every opportunity is not for you. Have faith and prayer works a lot. Also be still, you don’t always have to be out there, that includes taking social media breaks as well.

Being a young woman in the industry isn’t always easy, what are some of the things that keep you going?
My followers a.k.a Busy Bees have always been there for me. I appreciate all the amazing comments and messages from them. Even this interview is a blessing. Also working out and having discipline keeps me focused.

As 2018 slowly comes to an end what are some of your goals for the upcoming year?  In addition, which of your goals have you checked off this year?
As 2018 ends, I can’t wait to release my second book in ‘Plot.Plan.Slay.’ A few goals that I have succeeded this year was traveling, finishing my book and being at peace internally. I was really at peace this year.

What’s something that your followers and people other than family don’t know about you?
I’m actually quiet and shy in person. Some people think that I’m just being bougie or standoffish but it’s really me just feeling you out and the energy of the room. I also am a homebody I don’t like going out as much as I used too. But when I turn up, I turn up. I also love dancing and listening to trap music.
When you aren’t interviewing, sharing inspo on YouTube or being a busy bee, what can you be found doing?
I’m always working out. Working out has become my weekly activity. I share a lot of my workouts online and I’m always watching others on YouTube. I love YouTube!
*And lastly just for fun what’s your favorite drink and favorite champagne?

My favorite drink is a lemon drop. Two of those and I’m A1!
