Gigi Hadid’s cover for ‘Glamour’ 2017 Women of the Year honor.

Shot by Patrick Demarchelier, Gigi Hadid graces the cover of GLAMOUR the December 2017 issue.  During her interview with GLAMOUR the model shares a few important details about herself. She talks about the early stages of her modeling career stating,

“When I started working in fashion, it was like, ‘Gigi, the all-American.’ I was very much that ‘girl next door, but if you read my interviews, I always talk about my parents’ cultural backgrounds.”

Gigi’s mom Yolanda Foster (now  Yolanda Hadid) came from Holland during her teen years, and her father Mohammed Hadid was born in Palestine.

She then went on to share her views on social and political issues saying,

“I want to be the person who always uses my platform to share what I’m passionate about, but it’s also scary and something I’ve learned to be cautious about.”

Fashion and modeling isn’t all that Gigi’s about. She uses her social media handles often to share her views on many of the social issues that are relevant in today’s society.  So don’t be surprised if you ever see her tweeting politicians.
