As of lately velour and velvet sets have been pieces that more and more people are reaching for while shopping. And I definitely don’t blame them. But, recently celebs from Kim K to Fashion Gawd Rihanna have been spotted in velour clothing, specifically Juicy Couture.
Kim recently appeared on the Fall 2016 cover of Wonderland Magazine in a full-blown hot pink Juicy sweatsuit. And even before then she even posted to her website kimkardashianwest.com stating she had a strong feeling the cute 2000’s sweatsuits would make its way back in style.
Rihanna on the other hand, wore a maxi dress from the Vetements x Juicy Couture SS17 collaboration the night of the 30th FN Achievement Awards. In case you didn’t know Vetements collaborated with a total of 18 different brands for the SS17 season. Brands including: Champion, Levi’s, Canada Goose, Eastpak, Reebok, Alpha Industries, COMME des GARÇONS, Champion, Schott, Manolo Blahnik, Brioni, Lucchese, Mackintosh, Church’s, Dr. Martens, Kawasaki and of course, Juicy Couture. While her piece retails for way more than regular juicy pricing ($$$$) I think a few of the other pieces from the collaboration are kind of cute. I’m all about messy buns and sweats. So that x velour ? I’m here for it! Comfy, fashionable and cute. You can splurge on the collab or keep it strictly new school juicy couture. The choice is yours, but for now we’ll just have to wait and see if this actually becomes a trend repeat.
