Everyone is freaking out over, Solange’s new album A Seat at the Table. The album dropped this past Friday, October 1st to be exact and has everyone from celebrities to fans talking. It’s been about three years since we last heard music from Solange, but everyone all over agrees that this album was worth the wait.
We all know her to be extremely artisty and creative in a bold but effortless way and that is exactly what was delivered in #ASeatAtTheTable. That, plus a side of I’m unapologetically black and beautiful. This piece of work is said to make you dance, make you think, make you frustrated and so on. It’s just an overall vibe, you most likely won’t be able to find anywhere else. So, if you haven’t already go ahead and listen to A Seat at the Table and see what you think.
“I wanted the album to have those moments of grief, and being able to be angry and express rage, and trying to figure out how to cope in those moments. I also wanted it to make people feel empowered and [that] in the midst of all of this we can still dream, and uplift, and laugh like we always have.”
